As an AMOREPACIFIC brand rooted in dermatological expertise, AESTURA captured industry attention with the presentation of its latest research findings at the 2025 Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) exhibition in Shanghai, China.

The announcement was delivered by Dr. Yuan Chao, Chief Physician at Shanghai Dermatology Hospital and newly appointed member of the Young Scientist Committee (YSC), a research body in beauty science established by AMOREPACIFIC’s China Research Center. Dr. Chao highlighted AESTURA’s innovative skin barrier recovery solution for sensitive skin powered by third-generation ceramides and provided insights into the development of DermaON ceramide capsules, AESTURA’s proprietary capsule technology and a key driver in advanced skincare applications.

The research focused on the development of DermaON capsules specifically designed for sensitive skin by demonstrating the clear differences in metabolism between sensitive and resilient skin types. This innovative encapsulation technology recreates skin’s lamellar structure to ensure high stability, delivering long-lasting skin protection with continuity of 18 hours and beyond.

This patented ingredient is incorporated into AESTURA ATOBARRIER365 CREAM, showing proven effectiveness in strengthening skin barrier and providing long-term moisturization. The product has a strong track record of excellence, having won OLIVE YOUNG Awards for five consecutive years and ranking number one in the Cream category in 2024.

AESTURA officially entered the Chinese market in August this year, focusing on eCommerce platforms. The brand continues to advance research on skin barrier repair technologies for sensitive skin, collaborating with dermatologists worldwide including experts in China, United States, and Canada. Strengthening its international presence, AESTURA has expanded its collaborations with dermatologists globally. The brand participated in the 124th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Dermatological Association in May and delivered a presentation at the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA) in June, showcasing its commitment to cutting-edge research and dermatological innovation.
