Amorepacific's authentic derma brand AESTURA sponsored the 2026 KSID x ISID APAC Meeting to continue collaboration centered on dermatological research and education at an international academic exchange bringing together dermatologists and researchers from the Asia-Pacific region. This sponsorship went beyond simple brand exposure, serving as an opportunity to reaffirm its role as a trusted academic partner that respects the conference's value and dignity and engaging in discussions on derma science based on scientific evidence.

 

AESTURA participated in the Preview Day for the 2026 KSID x ISID APAC Meeting at Amorepacific headquarters prior to the main conference. Serving as an initial program for academic exchange, Preview Day was created as a platform for young researchers and key stakeholders in the international conference to share research topics and interests; thus establishing a foundation for scholarly discussions leading to the main conference.

 

In addition to networking programs for young researchers, a tour of Amorepacific headquarters, an APMA tour, and an “AMOREPACIFIC Research Talk” session were held at Preview Day to deepen understanding of Amorepacific's derma-beauty history and research.

 

Researcher Kim Seo-yeong at Amorepacific Safety Lab: Presenting “Sensitive Skin: Quantitative Reactivity Rather than Mere Subjective Feeling”

 

In this presentation, sensitive skin was defined not merely as a subjective symptom but as a persistent, reproducible spectrum of biological reactivity. The study introduced a research strategy that begins with observations of ethnic and environmental factors and extends to mechanistic studies of barrier lipids, genetic susceptibility, and skin microbiome as well as AI-based objective assessments. This suggests that research on sensitive skin is entering a phase of mechanistic scientific approaches and quantitative evaluation.

 

Researcher Baek Byeong-yeol at Amorepacific Skincare 3 Lab: Presenting “A New Approach to Skin Barrier Research: Bio-mimetic Technology Mimicking Lamellar Bodies”

 

In this presentation, skin barrier recovery was explained not simply as a matter of supplementing with ceramides but rather as a question of how well skin can replicate the original barrier-forming structure. “DermaON® (high-density ceramide capsule) technology” was described as a meaningful technology because it mimics the biological principles of lamellar bodies, enabling structural barrier restoration to translate into actual improvements in skin condition.

 

A Presidential Dinner was also held with key executives from KSID and ISID APAC, bringing together key stakeholders of the conference to discuss the society's vision and future directions for collaboration. Through Preview Day, AESTURA sought to build long-term trust with researchers and medical professionals and emphasized its role as a derma science partner supporting academic exchanges.

 

During the conference held on April 10 and 11 at The Westin Seoul Parnas, AESTURA operated a conference lounge to introduce the brand and derma science research to dermatologists in the Asia-Pacific region.
